iPhone

Tuesday, January 09, 2007 1:43:44 PM (Pacific Standard Time, UTC-08:00)

My brother called me this morning from Mac World. "They released the iPhone!" Sure enough, they did, and I'm loving it. Due to hit the streets in June. The only thing holding me back is the fact that it's Cingular (I'm on Verizon Wireless) and the $500 price tag.

The UI looks amazing. Finally a decent way to browse the web on a tiny device. I can't wait to play with one.

Random Box O Stuff Contents

Thursday, December 14, 2006 12:32:54 PM (Pacific Standard Time, UTC-08:00)

Here's an update on the Random Box O Stuff I ordered. It came, but sadly I did not get any of the good stuff. I had ordered 2 boxes and they were packaged together. Here is what I received:

  • Package of 12 Christmas cards
  • A very smelly potpourri pillow
  • An LED flashlight, 3 AAA batteries included
  • Battery tester
  • A scorpion necklace from the Estrella Collection (made in china)
  • Dog tags?
  • A Fix-it Maps guide to Extending Your Telephone Wiring
  • Screwdriver kit (cheap)

Very exciting. I'm so glad I got this stuff instead of the PS3 or a Wii. Now at least I'll have some stuff to give at the next white elephant party.

Gmail trick - Figure out who is giving out your email address

Friday, November 17, 2006 4:09:46 PM (Pacific Standard Time, UTC-08:00)

If you use Gmail, this neat trick will let you know if anyone gives out your email address. When you sign up on a web site instead of entering username@gmail.com, put in username+websitecom@gmail.com. Gmail will ignore the + and everything following it, so you'll still get the email. To find out who is responsible for an email, you can click the Show Details link. You can also search for username+websitecom to see all of the messages sent to that address.
